The University of Connecticut’s National Family Development Credential Program will hold an FDC Instructors & Portfolio Advisors’ Institute at the ACAAA Training Center, located at 1111 W. 6th Street in Little Rock, from March 6 – 9, 2018. An application may be downloaded here.
The FDC Instructors Institute is a three-and-a-half-day train-the-trainer program for those interested in teaching the Empowerment Skills for Workers course, a component of the comprehensive curriculum of the Family Development Credential® (FDC™) Program.
Empowerment Skills for Workers is a community-based, interactive professional development training for family service workers interested in using the principles and practices of the Family Development strength-based approach.
- A 3 ½ day training for $625.00
- Become certified to teach the new 2015 edition of Empowerment Skills for Family Workers curriculum for the National FDC™ Program.
- Once trained, be able to help Head Start and Community Action Family Workers meet their training requirements and the needs of the community by earning their FDC.
- A chance to meet and work with others in your field for a unique and memorable experience.
