The nomination period is closed. Thank you to everyone who submitted nominations. The winners will be announced at a breakfast awards banquet to be held Friday, August 27, as the close of the 2018 ACAAA Annual Conference being held at the Wyndham Riverfront Hotel in North Little Rock.
Agencies can submit ONE nomination per category.
These awards are intended to highlight outstanding achievements in four categories:
- The Diamond Mission Award for Outstanding State Community Action Program
- The Diamond Champion Award for Outstanding Community Action Employee
- The Diamond Leader Award for Outstanding Community Action Agency Employee, Managerial
- The Diamond Empowerment Award for Outstanding Achievement in Self-Sufficiency
Each agency can submit one nomination for each category. Please note: All Diamond Award nominations must either be made by the agency’s executive director, or made with the express approval of the agency’s director. The deadline for Diamond Award nominations is close of business Friday, March 30.
Nominations will be evaluated by an independent panel of judges. Judges will review narrative descriptions of each nominee’s accomplishments and select winners in each category.
Please feel free to provide photographs, copies of media coverage, and other supportive evidence of the impact made by the nominated programs and staff members.
Please note that award nominations are limited to 3000 characters (approximately 450 words). Agencies have been asked that all award nomination submissions be made via made through the online forms accessible below (which automatically limit the number of characters). Any supplementary material—such as photos or media coverage, as mentioned above—may be sent to ACAAA’s Communications Director John Moran at jmoran@acaaa.org.
All individual nominees will receive a certificate of recognition. Category winners will receive a trophy. All nominees and winners will be recognized during the 2018 ACAAA Awards Banquet Breakfast being held at the Wyndham Riverfront Hotel in North Little Rock on Friday morning, April 27.
