ACAAA’s mission is to provide education, advocacy, and a unified voice for Community Action Agencies to reduce poverty and promote thriving communities in Arkansas.
Our Core Services
Capacity Building & Technical Assistance
We provide training, resources, and hands-on support to strengthen agency operations, governance, compliance, and program delivery. This includes support in strategic planning, data management, ROMA implementation, and results-based accountability.
Training & Professional Development
We deliver high-quality training opportunities for agency staff and leadership. Our programs include certified Family Development Credential instruction, board development, ROMA training, workshops, and customized leadership development.
Policy Engagement
ACAAA works at the state and federal levels to educate policymakers about poverty and the impact of Community Action. We amplify the voices of local agencies and the communities they serve, promoting policies that support low-income Arkansans.
Research, Data & Innovation
We help agencies use data to tell their story, improve outcomes, and shape effective community-level strategies. Our current initiatives, such as the Arkansas Pathways to Self-Sufficiency and Harvesting Hope, utilize data-informed approaches to develop holistic, community-led solutions to poverty and food insecurity.
