“Bridges Out of Poverty” workshop

August 19, 2019 @ 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
ACAAA Training Space
1111 West 6th Street

This workshop is a comprehensive approach to understanding poverty. Bridges Out of Poverty uses the lens of economic class and provides concrete tools and strategies for a community to alleviate poverty. Participants will review poverty research, examine a theory of change, and analyze poverty through the prism of the hidden rules of class, resources, family structure, and language. (while this is Phase 1 of the “Getting Ahead in a Just Gettin’ By World” certification process for case managers/family development staff, other staff would also benefit from attending this workshop, as well.)

There is no fee for this training but agencies will be invoiced $20 per participant for snacks, drinks, and a working lunch. Maximum number of participants: 40. Deadline to register: 8/14/2019
